Prior to installation, verify this is the correct part for your application.
27301 units are battery less disregard instructions concerning batteries. 273 units have batteries. 1. Make sure battery jumper is placed to the on position. 2. Reset unit no matter what light indications are, after installation.

GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING NOTES NEW UNIT PROBLEMS

Symptom
Inspection light will not reset. Tach and MPG not working, or working improperly. Instrument cluster is performing incorrectly. Inspection light will not reset. Temperature not working.

Test/Suspect Problem
Batteries are not turned on.

Solution
Move jumper to on position.

Visual inspection for cracked or corroded solder on the back of the gauge.

Replace Tach and MPG gauge.

Conductor plate, visual inspections for cracked or corroded solder. Check pin #7 for 5 volts at the diagnostic connector in the engine compartment. Conductor plate, visual inspections for cracked or corroded solder.

Replace conductor plate.
