Apollo 18
The titles of this film flash up as the beginning of the film begins to play. The titles look like they are typed up as it is a space mission taking place. There are rockets shown this gives the target audience a clear showing of where this film is set, NASA. The film is set in daytime as there is about to be a rocket launched into space. Close up and long shots are used to show the detail in the rockets and the launch pad where the rocket will take off. As the titles continue a voice over reads the text that comes up on the screen announcing the launch of this secret th 18 mission. There are sound effects of rocket launches used throughout the title sequence and real pictures of launches are used to get the audience into the feel of this type of film. Extreme long shots are used of rockets in the sky. This then changes to an extreme close up of inside a rocket cabin. Spacesuits are being worn by the characters as they are going into space. Close up shots of the moon are used, so are long shots of the earth. This is used because it allows the audience to view where this rocket is going. The two characters in the rocket then begin to talk to each other, this is what you can hear during this scene. Flashbacks to previous moon landings are shown. They are dark as its in space, spacesuits are being worn and is quiet in the background. The characters then take control of the camera and film the rest of the film themselves like a documentary. This gives a better effect and makes you feel as if you are in the film with them as the camera is slightly wobbly at times which makes you feel as though youre the person that the character is talking to.
