Tatum Lott Ms. Hollingsworth Senior Project 24 May 2012 The Next Big Step As a little girl, I always had something to fear. It wasn't the monster in my closet or the boogie man from Scooby Doo. What frightened me most was growing up. I knew from my older sisters that school was not the easiest objective to accomplish. People have expectations, dreams, and mostly responsibilities. Now that I have grown into a young lady about to finish high school, I understand how challenging it was for my sisters to be under the pressure of completing high school. Although in just a few months, my life too will begin a new chapter. I will begin my life as a young adult with more responsibilities than ever, more fears, higher expectations and different dreams. It is the next big step to continuing my career as an adult. Senior Project has always been the most hated class in a students career. I have decided to take a different attitude toward this project. In other words, I want to use it to my advantage of becoming a better writer, listener, and speaker. I mainly expect to see a major difference in my writing skills because they are very weak. I hope that my writing improves enough to be ready by the time I start my college career. I believe that Senior Project is to teach young adults the tips that they need for college and over all daily skills in the work force. I wish to become a more self-motivated person with sufficient writing skills. I want to gain a mature attitude and better communication skills with different personalities. I believe that this course will help me gain both and help me become a well-rounded young individual.
