Onam Festival and Ugadi Festival

Onam
It is a festival celebrated by the people of Kerala, India. This festival commemorates the Vamana avatar of Vishnu (Vishnu as a human) The subsequent homecoming of the legendary Emperor Mahabali.

Onam
It is the state festival of Kerala and falls during the month of Chingam (AugustSeptember) and lasts for ten days. They make Flower carpets and they go on snake boats

Ugadi
It is the New Year's Day for the people of the Deccan of India. Composed by words yuga (age) and di (beginning). First month is Chaitra (MarchApril) Ugadi marks the first day of the new year.

Ugadi
A special dish called Bobbatlu is the most popular eaten. It consists of a filling (gram /sugar boiled and made in to a paste) stuffed in a flat roti like bread. It is usually eaten hot/cold with ghee or milk topping or coconut milk at some places.
