Dear Colleague: Stockton, as a civic community, is in the middle of the central agricultural and delta area of northern California and is one of two inland seaport cities. It is coping with its own economic woes as well as those that have plagued our nation for the past number of years. Stockton, as a religious community, is looking for a minister of integrity who will empower leadership, inspire spiritual growth, and increase congregational membership. It hopes to attract younger families and broaden its influence in the civic community. Stockton Unitarian Universalists are part of the Pacific Central District, a body of thirty eight congregations of varied sizes and characters. The district has a strong UUMA Chapter and a programmatic focus that seeks to respond to the current cultural revolution. You will find its staff, ministers and lay leaders embracing and available to you in your ministry. If you and the Stockton congregation decide to engage a mutual relationship, you will be warmly welcomed as part of our district community and faith witness. If I can be of service to you as you explore a potential relationship with this congregation, please call on me. Grace and blessings, Robert T. Latham
The Pacific Central District is funded by its member congregations and by the Unitarian Universal Association.
