Description of Activity
Students will read about the parts of the body and write a paragraph describing the parts of the body and how they are connected to one another. Students will be put into groups to practice the Body Part Song (which describes which body parts are connected to which other body parts) so they can recite it back to the class. Students will be put into groups to put together a presentation to show where each of the body parts are on their bodies. Present in front of the class with their groups. Each group will be assigned a section of the body to demonstrate. Students will be given a blank diagram of the body and will be required to label and color each part of the body. Students will describe the parts of the body and give an example of something that happened to the different parts of their own body. Ex: I broke my leg when I fell out of the tree I had climbed a year ago.
