Journal 9 Anna Still Ms. Hollingsworth Senior Project 12 Nov.

2012 Thoughts of Improvement The scariest part about Senior Project is the thought of a six to eight page research paper. At the beginning of the semester, I was terrified of what I was going to have to complete close to the end of the semester because I thought there was no way it would happen. Looking back now, writing the paper was actually not all that difficult. Although writing the paper was not the hard part, improving it might be a little tough. My research paper focused on three problems and solutions in the Labor and Delivery field that I thought were the most important. I believe that the problems I wrote about not only cause problems for the nurse, but also can have a huge effect on the patient. My research paper is definitely not perfect and could be improved in some areas. I am sure that I still have some be verbs that need removing. It would also be a good idea to possibly add some stronger vocabulary words. I can look for mistakes from the Do Nots of a Final Draft handout and fix those errors that might still be present in my paper. I think more specific details and relating my text back to how these problems and solutions affect the nurse would definitely improve my paper. I spent many hours brainstorming, researching information, writing the paper, and correcting the peer reviews. My main goal was to do my best to make it the paper that I envisioned at the beginning of the semester. Even if this paper stressed me out at times, I am ecstatic because the paper is done and about to be graded. Needless to say, I am satisfied with how my research paper turned out.
