Dear Parents/Guardians, Greetings! Im Mrs. Kara Manzelli and Im your childs College Prep Psychology teacher. One of the many topics were covering this year is Developmental Psychology. This topic deals with how we grow and change from conception to old age. A major theme in this section is the importance of parenting. I truly believe the most difficult and most important job youll ever have is being a parent and role model to a child. With that in mind, Ive assigned a special project that your student must complete with you or someone in their lives who is a parent. The project consists of several questionnaires that you will be filling out with the student. The answers to the questions are completely confidential, and will be used by your student to complete their reflection paper. There is no right or wrong answers to these questions, and your answers in no way will be used to pass judgments on you as a parent, they are simply a research tool for your students assignment. This assignment will be given to the students on Monday, December 10, 2012 and is due on Thursday, December 13, 2012. This assignment is worth 50 points and a test grade. I hope you can assist your student with what I consider a worthwhile project and a chance for your student to gain a new perspective on an important topic. If you have any additional questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact me via email at kmanzelli@mps-edu.org.

Sincerely,

Kara M. Manzelli
