Research Partner Taller de Jose, Little Village 2012 Sept. 2012- Dec.

As a member of the Community-based Research class, I participated as a research partner with Taller de Jose, an organization that helps connect people to resources and resources to people in the Chicago community of Little Village. Along with a group, I assisted in inputting data, analyzing data, and presenting our project to the class and community partners. Our data analysis assisted the organization in evaluating outcomes and measuring feelings of clients upon entering and leaving their first consultation. As coordinator for over 40 peers, I create programs that connect students with service and civic engagement opportunities in the community. I collaborate with faculty and staff to develop programs that advocate for social justice and support the communitys theme. Thus far, Ive helped put together a breast cancer fundraiser, a forum to discuss the Chick-fil-A controversy, and hosted a night of Labre Ministry. In addition, Ive put together the leadership team of the coordinators for Urban Issues. Graphic Design Intern/Information Desk Receptionist Present Aug. 2012-

Terry Student Center- Loyola University Water Tower Campus Marketing, Program/Event coordinating, and Communications for Water Tower Campus Life. In this role, I work in student development as a welcoming presence in Terry Student Center as well as a resource for event information. This position includes selling event tickets, receiving calls, sending faxes and tracking sales for Water Tower Campus. Tutor, Passages Charter School, Chicago, IL May 2012 Feb. 2012 -

Serve as a tutor and supervisor for students in After School Activities during snack time, playground time, tutor them with homework assignments, and assist AmeriCorps members with dismissal. This community consisted of lowincome minority students in an area of need. As a tutor, I assisted as a mentor to many children and built comfortable and safe environments for children to be productive with school work.
