The theme of the 5th UNAOC Forum in Vienna speaks to me deeply, for I not only was born in a multicultural

and multireligious setting in Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh and have similarly a multicultural upbringing in Sri Lanka, but have been deeply been affected by the ethnic and religious conflicts Bangladesh and in Sri Lanka. At the Youth Event I will be meeting youth leaders who, though equally motivated to making changes in the relevant fields, would be coming from different cultural and religious backgrounds and would also be presenting different perspectives. My activities at UTACF and SLU, as mentioned above, squire well with the three major issues of the Vienna Forum. Also, being a Buddhist monk, I will be representing diversity at the Forum, and will be glad to contribute to constructive agenda on responsible leadership. The 5th UNAOC Forum in Vienna and its Youth Event seek to foster intercultural and interreligious understanding, the two pressing needs of our days, by bringing together the youth, the future leaders. The theme speaks to me deeply, for I not only was born in a multicultural and multireligiou setting in Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh and have similarly a multicultural upbringing in Sri Lanka, but have been deeply been affected by the ethnic and religious conflicts at home and in Sri Lanka. I am strongly inspired by the idea that even though leadership tends often to be at crossroads, it is then that responsible leadership is necessary. Thus I have been trying to exemplify by actively participating in and organizing, theoretically and practically, in relevant events, dialogues, and workshops. Also, being a Buddhist monk, I will be bringing representing representing diversity at the Forum.
