Learning Objectives
Students will demonstrate: An ability to design, realize, and test kinematic devices that are intended to meet a desired need. An ability to synthesize (develop), illustrate and document concepts for the potential solutions for a kinematic device that meets a desired need. Knowledge related to the design process and realistic constraints, including sustainability (economic, social and environmental), ethical, health and safety, and manufacturability issues. Knowledge related to current events in which some of these realistic constraints were applied or not applied. Knowledge of an actual engineering ethics case noting how the ASME Code of Ethics applies, and Knowledge of Intellectual Property and Sustainability, including economics, social and environmental issues.
