ABSTRACT
The FISCHER- TROPCHE reaction on an iron catalyst which was upgraded with HZSM-5 zeolite was studied in a fixed bed reactor. The reaction was carried out under different conditions for GHSV, feed ratio and temperature between 373 and 823 K. In this article the reults of work which was aimed to produced hydrocarbon at the range of gasoline are presented. The catalyst which was prepared by admixing of FTS with HZSM-5 zeolite was used. It has been found out that at GHSV of 112h-1, temperature of 573K, pressure of 17 bar, hydrogen to carbon monxide feed ratio of less than 1 mol/mol, were the best conditions of these catalysts. The yields for producing aromatics and branched hydrocarbon was the best at GHSV for 112h-1. Production of methane and water increased when hydrogen was incresed, but C2+ selectivity remained constant and carbon dioxide partial pressure declined. Bench scale extruded Iron, H-ZSM-5 catalyst was prepared, characterized and utiltzed to transfer syngas to high octane gasoline range hydrocarbon at different reaction conditions, including GHSV, H2 partial pressure and temperatue. The acidity of catalyst is compared, by using amounium adsorption desorption method, before and after admixing the two catalysts, and with adding Al2O3 as binder. Experiments which carried out at different GHSV, showed that at 112 h-1, branched hydrocarbon and aromatics were obtained in good yiels. By increasing H2 partial pressure C2+ selectivty remained constand and CO2 declined but H2O and CH4 increased. Enhancing temperature from 553K to 593K also showed changes in product selectivity and good result was obtained at 573K.
