Course Expectation

Traffic and Highway Engineering is a major area within Civil Engineering. I expect that I can able to understand the basis for transportation, its importance, and the extent to which transportation pervades peoples daily lives. Im very interested on how highways and bridges have been designed and perfectly built. Since we will be engaging into a thorough analysis of various transportation modes and systems; from planning and designing of transportation facilities and structures, its construction, up to the development of highways, railways, airport and seaport, I assume that this course provides information about traffic operations and management, planning, design, construction and maintenance. Im looking forward to attain enough knowledge on relevant traffic codes and standards because I learned some of these just on my own observation. I also anticipate this course would supplement us with vast knowledge in transportation engineering. I know that it would be a good investment to further our learning that we will be using on our actual field of study. For the professor, I expect that he is knowledgeable enough to teach this course. I assume that he can able to discuss the topics in a most efficient way. And I also hope that our professor will create our class fun and lively since our class is from 6pm to 7:30pm, there is a tendency that we get sleepy. I believe that our professor is very considerate and kind hearted, and he will help us in times of difficulty.
