Mammography
Mammography is an examination of the breast by using low-energy x-ray. It is used to diagnose and detect signs of breast cancer, so that it can be prevented in earlier stage.
Preparation
Upon visitation, do not use any perfume, cologne, deodorant, powder or any cream at the breast area and under the armpit. As mammography is very sensitive in detecting even smallest lesions, this might disturb the quality of image and will lead to misdiagnosis. You are also advised to wear loose fitting blouse and pants and do not wear valuable jewelry because you need to take out your blouse during examination. This will ensure smooth procedure during your visitation.
