I have shown the Fundamental Laws and principles of Physics in general for an normal vehicle according to classical mechanics.

Note:1.All of the laws lies in every object we see.I mentioned the laws where it is important for us to remember always. 2.I haven't mentioned the laws encountered in Instrumentation sector of Automotive. 1.Vehicle is at rest or motion,to change its velocity force has to be applied (acceleartion or braking) - F=m*a, Newton's Second Law. [A vehicle in sense applies to all the parts of it,from the body to the small bolt] 2.Vehicle is moving on a level ground or bump, due to its equal reaction it stays on the ground or accelerates upwards. - F+R==0,Newton's third law of motion 3.To change the direction of the Vehicle,Force has to be applied -T=I*aplha(in case of rotation torque is analogous to force) 4.There is no freelunch,to move the vehicle we need energy(fuel) -First Law of thermodynamics 5.Carburetor-It works on venturi. -Bernoulli principle,Continuity equation 6.Hydraulic brakes-pressure must be even on all wheels -Pascal's Law (incompressible fluid) 7.Starter motor (E field to mechanical work) -Biot-Savart LAw 8.Headlight and other lights-(for focussing and diverging) -Principle of least time 9.Process invovled in the combustion chamber-(either P,V,T must be kept constant to change P,V,T) -Ideal gas laws 10.Heat flow(Conduction, convection,Radiation) takes place to minimize its energy. -Second Law of thermodynamics 11.Vehicle on a slope- Work is a dot product,so it is not affected by gravity when moving over a level gound. When moving over a slope it accounts for the accelaration. -Law of garvitation

12.Aerodynamics in a vehilce -Coanda Effect 13.The sound we hear while a car passes.Frequency change when there is relative motion between objects. -Doppler effect 14.Battery-Chemicals to E field -Faraday's First and second law of Electrolysis 15.All linkages and body exerting forces -Hooke's LAw 16.Heating elements. -Joule's First LAw 17.Wear and Tear of materials -Second Law of thermodynamics 18.Expansion of gases-Change in concetration(x,t) -Le Chatelier Principle 19.All electrical and electronic Equipments(Current flow in the circuits) -Ohm's Law 20.Mirror -Reflection Law,Principle of least time.(This is important because you can't get your same image if it is not according to the law) Laws governs the Universe! We play with it to survive ! S.Sundaralingam M.tech Automotive Engineering
