The Planning and Zoning Board will consider Tuesday at 7 p.m. the comprehensive rezoning recommendations made by the 301 Task Force. The purpose of the zoning changes is to promote more compatible development patterns and foster continued business growth. The task force hopes to improve the aesthetics of the area, the quality of life of residents, and the health of the business community in the neighborhood surrounding U.S. 301 from just north of its intersection with Lipscomb Road to its intersection with Pender Street. Among other items on the agenda are: * Rezoning 4612 Nash St. North from agricultural to office. * Rezoning 1.86-acre parcel near intersection of Nash Street North and Country Club Drive from single-family residential to office and residential. * Rezoning 34.74-acre parcel at 3634 Jetstream Drive from agricultural to multi-family residential. * Airport Overlay Land use Protection District conditional-use permit and preliminary subdivision approval for Woodridge West II east of the existing Woodridge West subdivision. * Shopping center site plan for 2000 Lipscomb Road. -- Margaret J.
