Heres a bit of a round-up of some of our community activity this week

Local Goodwill The Herald (Hythe, Southampton), 24/01/2013, p.9 A Food Collection Day at the Waitrose supermarket in Hythe on 1st December, saw 246kg of Christmas food donated, which meant 130 special Christmas hampers could be given out to families and individuals across the Waterside. Focus on your charities The Argus, 28/01/2013, p.38 Shoppers from Waitrose in Uckfield have raised 2,065 for the St Peter and St James Hospice in North Chailey as part of the supermarket's Community Matters green coin scheme. Customers also donated groceries which were made up into over 60 hampers. Pre-school children return to revamped building Cornish & Devon Post, 24/01/2013, p.7 The Waitrose Community Matters project saw Holsworthy Preschool Playgroup receive a substantial renovation, with staff from the retailer helping on new flooring in the kitchen and toilets, fresh colours on the walls; and paint work in the playroom, kitchen and reception area. Community support Cornish & Devon Post, 24/01/2013, p.9 The latest recipient of Waitrose's Community Awards scheme is Holsworthy Lions, which received 810.
