The MARK OF THE BEAST

But who the REAL AUTHOR of this
martyrdom? Satan the devil
In the 13th chapter of Revelation
is a hideous symbolic BEAST. A

king who rules it (Dan. 7:17, 23, etc.)

pire, revived after its original fall in
476, into the "Holy Roman Empire

Beginning with the 11th verse of
this 13th chapter of Revelation is pict-

a lamb, but actually spoke as a dragon.
It appeared as. pretended to be, Christ's
kingdom upon earth---a CHURCH government.
But aotually it was the DEVIL'S tool.
This CHURCH government excercised ALL the
power of the first beast, the Holy Roman
Empire, verse 12. The popes ruled the
state as well as the church tor over lZOO
years
And who gave his seat and power and
authority to this whole abominable system?
The DRAGON (verse 2) which is Satan the
Devil (Rev. 12:9 and 20:2). And so it is
merely the Devil's

THE TRIBUUTION IS THE
DEVIL'S WRATH
There is one prime distinction we
want our readers to unders'band,
The Great TRIBULkTION and the DA
OF THE LORD &re two different, separate
things. The Great Tribulation is
time of SATAN'S WRATH. The Day of the
Lord is time of GOD'S WRATH.
In the latter the 11th chap-
ter of Daniel is the prophecy of the
Roman with
his a.rmies into Pa,leatinQ and Egypt in
his campaign to rebuild the Roman Empire.
(See February-MaTch number. The PLAIN
TRUTH). Thia is the time of Mat.
---the time of the Tribulation.
Then notice the 12th chapter of Dan-
iel, a continua.tion of the 11th chapter:
"And at that time Bhall Mich&el (the
arch-angel) stand up, the great prince
which standeth for the children of thy
people: and there shall be a time o
trouble, such as never was sinc;-th;re
was a nation even"tOthat
'U)an:- 12:1). This time of trouble is at
the very end-time---just before.
leading up to. the coming of Christ, and
the resurrection (verse 2).

This is not his original casting down to
earth. prior to when Satan first
sinned. Since that time, he has still

the earth. He is the accuser or the
brethren (Rev. 12:10), and In the Book at
Job we find him presenting himself in tha
heavenly courts before the Lord to BOCUle

This heavenly war between michael
and Satan is AFTER the middle-ar. martyr-
dom when, for 1260 years, those who es-
caped martyrdom fled to and were preserved
in the wild.erness (Rev. 12:6). The !IME
of this heavenly battle between those

tle and is cast down from accusing God's

This is the GREAT TRIBULATION--at a

also pictures this end-time martyrdom-
Tribulation. And under the sixth seal,
(Rev. 6:12-17) the sun and the are

then men will run to the mountains scream-
ing in frantic terror, crying for the
rocks to fallon them, and hide them from
the face of the Lord and from his WRATH,
"FOR THE GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH IS
COME; and who shall be able to :stand?"

HANDS OF AN ALMIGHTY GOD!
God will permit us to be TRIED.
"Many shall be purified, and made white,
and tried," at this time (Dan. 12:10).
But if we turn to Him with ALL of our
hearts, even with fasting and prayer, and
w ith in real earnest, He promise.
