1) Improving performance in student financial aid programs to ensure funds are reaching qualified recipients.
2) Effectively implementing new accountability requirements under the No Child Left Behind Act to improve education.
3) Ensuring proper use and accountability of funds provided to states, school districts, and other education agencies.
