Explanation. NAEP assessments for reading and mathematics are not administered annually. The next
assessment in reading and math is scheduled for 2007. American Indian and Alaska Native students
were oversampled for the 2005 NAEP assessments in reading and mathematics to increase the reliability
of the data.
