Project Title: STUDY ON VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT Place: 3G Wireless Communications Pvt Ltd. Bangalore during the year 2011-12 Guidance: Ms. Uma Maheswari. K MBA, MPhil, PGDIBO This project was about studying the attitude of employees towards Voluntary retirement scheme (VRS). Data was collected using the available documents at HR department. Employees who had taken VRS was surveyed using structured questionnaires. Based on the results of the survey it is evident that employees who had taken VRS were not happy as they thought. They miss the company environment and a vacuum was created in their retired life. Also they feel insecure without a job. But in employer point of view it was beneficial to the company to have VRS as the data showed majority of the employees are aged above 40years and lack enthusiasm and the drive to perform.
