TRAVEL ALERT: A ecting Houston Street & Je erson Blvd. Viaducts

Houston Street Viaduct Full Closure:
The Houston Street Viaduct will be closed from 12:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 through fall 2014. The closure will extend from Young Street/Reunion Blvd. in Downtown Dallas to Zang Blvd. in Oak Cli . The purpose of the closure is for the construction of the new street car line connecting Downtown Dallas and Oak Cli . The traveling public is asked to use the Je erson Blvd. Viaduct as a detour route during the closure of the Houston Street Viaduct. To enter Downtown Dallas from Oak Cli use Colorado Blvd. to Marsalis Street to access the Je erson Blvd. Viaduct.

Je erson Blvd. Viaduct Temporary Tra c Con guration

The Je erson Blvd. Viaduct will have multiple lane closures from 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2013 through 5:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013. The lane closures will extend from Young Street in Downtown Dallas to Colorado Street in Oak Cli . The purpose of the lane closures is to restripe and create two-way access to enter and exit Downtown Dallas.

Zang Street Restricted Access to Je erson Blvd.:

The traveling public will not have northbound access from Zang Street to Je erson Blvd. The Zang Street access restriction is from 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2013, through fall 2014. The alternate route to access Downtown Dallas is to use Colorado Street to Marsalis Avenue to access the Je erson Blvd. Viaduct. Local access for residents and businesses on this part of Zang will be maintained at all times. The traveling public is asked to follow all posted tra c control signage and tra c control channeling devices throughout the closure periods.
