TRAFFIC ADVISORY & STREET CLOSING Mechanic Street & 500 Block Emerson Street
The City of Watertowns Department of Public Works crews will begin the process of surface milling on both Mechanic Street and the 500 block of Emerson Street. Weather permitting; the road maintenance crew will begin milling operations on Thursday, September 12th @ 7:00am. This work is expected to continue into the day on Friday, September 13th. Throughout this portion of the project, Mechanic Street and the 500 Block of Emerson Street will be CLOSED to ALL traffic. Local residents should make arrangements to park on nearby side streets while this work is underway. Public Works crews will follow standard protocol to establish traffic control on-site. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes on these dates. If traveling through, motorists should exercise caution when encountering work crews and work zones.
