THE ROAD TRAFFIC (BBA BRCC ROAD RACE), (No. )


ORDER 2023

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, 2023


The Minister responsible for works and engineering, in exercise of the power conferred by section
4(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Act, 1947, makes the following Ord\er:

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (BBA BRCC Road Race) (No. ) Order 2023.

2. This Order applies in respect of the BRCC Road Race (the "bicycle race") on the roadways
between Devonshire and St. Georges Parishes to be held on Sunday, September 17th, 2023.

3. The bicycle race will follow the route specified below.

4. The Commissioner of Police is hereby authorized to close roads or portions of roads and
authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides in the interest of public safety.

ROUTE:
Commencing on St. David's roundabout at Kindley Field heading west on Kindley Field, over the Causeway
to Blue Hole on to North Shore Road from Hamilton Parish through Flatts on North Shore Road to Barker's
Hill in Devonshire Parish and back in reverse around the Barker's Hill roundabout along North Shore Road
back through Flatts pass the Aquarium back to Blue Hole roundabout, heading east over the Causeway to
Kindley Field and ending at St. David's Road roundabout at Gate #1.

TRAFFIC CONTROL: The bicycle race will commence on Sunday, September 17th , 2023 at 8:00 am and
is expected to be concluded by 12:00 pm.

ROAD CLOSURES: There will be no road closures. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid
collision with race participants. The race route will be under Police and Race
Officials. Motorists are asked to follow Police and Race Officials instructions to
assist with traffic control for this event.

PARKING: There will be no parking restriction for this bicycle race but motorists are
permitted to park in designated parking bays along any part of the race route.
Additionally, motorists must not block the race route or impede the participants
in the bicycle race.

Marshals and Police representatives will be placed along the routes to direct traffic.
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and
apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorized to "Close-Off'' streets or portions of streets and
authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.
