Scotland

Scotland is part of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Most of the Scots live in a close region in the south, where most of the industries are placed. This region is located in Glasgow, Scotland's largest city, and Edinburgh, the capital city. The highlands of Scotland have are few populated, but the landscape is fantastic. There are beautiful mountains and lakes all around. The Hightest Mountain in Britain is Ben Navis with 1343 metres. There are many islands on the Scottish coast: the Hebrides, the Orkneys, Shetland and others. Scotland joined England and Wales in the year 1707, but the Scots have always maintained many of their traditions.
