Sheet 9 Climate change Member of Greenpeace B- Pro nuclear power A) What do you think about climate change?

B) Sorry but I dont believe that, climate change is actually not taking place and that all its just media hype to sell more newspapers A) The governments all over the world have realized this is a big problem. Why are you so sure about it? B) Because I think the main problem is the energy crisis. The reserves of coal, oil and gas will be exhausted in ten years. A) I quite agree with you because these sources of energy cause pollution B) Nuclear power is the answer to this problem A) Are you sure of that? I would suggest developing new sources of energy more safe (secure) B) Our organization pro nuclear power has the evidence that the other energies are not efficient enough. A) I belong to Greenpeace and we are completely convinced that we can help a lot doing ecological changes in our life B) What exactly do you mean by ecological changes? A) For example, my house is heated by solar energy; I go to work by bicycle; My family recycle paper, glass, plastic and household waste and so on. B) Thats a good point. I hadnt thought of that. I suppose youre right. A) Really? Are you changing your mind? B) Yes, of course and I suggest that we can encourage our organization to develop together other ways of taking energy from the earth. A) Im glad to hear that and we can also help people to do ecological changes at an individual level.
