Didnt you? B.- Thats great, mate. I can already see the headlines: Soap opera star faces the crisis shopping at Tescos. It will prove celebrities are as human as any of us mortals. A.- Listen, I cannot understand why you keep on like this day and night. It is unbearable. If you want to deteriorate my public image, I can do the same with you as well. B.- Come on, you know as well as I do that your public image, as you call it, has been deteriorated by your own scandals, some of which I dont even believe. I wonder if you made them up to be in the spotlight. Its really hard being famous just on account of your work on TV, and you are fully aware of that. If we paparazzi didnt follow you, you wouldnt be half as famous as you are now. A.- This is ridiculous!. Are you saying Im famous just because of you? Cant I have a private life any more? I cant go anywhere or do anything without you knowing!!. B.- You lost your private life from the same minute you sold it to the tabloids. Who would have known otherwise that Lisa and you had split up? Who would have imagined that you were going out with that pretty dancer? Who was interested in your babys miscarriage? Why did you tell the press about that car accident you had or the sexual harassment you were suffering? Its not, obviously, that we believe all that you tell us, but people want to read those juicy stories and you have been playing the game for years now. A.- Shall we make a deal?. You leave me alone for a couple of days and Ill give you something juicy in return. B.- Im not going to make any deal with you as Im sure those two days you are asking for are going to be spent on taking the pictures you have sold to a rival magazine to illustrate your affair with a famous politician. A.- What affair? What are you talking about? Dont invent stories to sell to your readers! B.- Its not me the one making them up, but you. You seem to believe we dont know how this business goes, but we all do, you and us. So stop pretending you dont want us in your life. We are bound to get on well with each other if you intend to feed your ego and continue being in the spotlight.
