IP BASED MESSAGING SYSTEM Abstract

An IP based messenger is an application based program used to exchange file and messages between systems connected to a network through cat 5 cables , RJ45 connectors and HUBs. This application can also be used to retrieve the IP addresses of the various systems connected to the network. This IP based messenger is developed based on a campus environment where users from different dept could be connected to each other via cheap, fast and reliable network. This does not require a dedicated server.

One of the main target of this project is to abolish the use of server in a campus based environment where only a limited amount of computers are connected together.
