International Relations & Diplomacy Summer Fellowship Program in New York To be an engaged citizen in our evolving global environment

and to succeed beyond college, todays students require a rich understanding of the world beyond the United States. Mercy Colleges International Relations and Diplomacy Summer Fellowship Program will offer your students the practical skills and understanding they need to participate in our changing world. With the prestigious status of an NGO associated with the United Nations, Mercy College holds a distinctive position in offering this competitive summer program. Selected students will receive program materials, accommodations, transportation to and from the airports and meals at no cost. In coordination with our Center for Global Engagement International Advisory Board, including such notable experts as Ambassador Ahmad Kamal, founding president of the Ambassadors Club at the United Nations and former Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the U.N., Ambassador Alfred Kingon, former U.S ambassador to the European Union, and Baroness Pauline Perry, Lady, House of Lords, England, students will experience a variety of practical and exclusive opportunities, including: Discussions, guest lectures and lunch with international diplomacy experts addressing the worlds current events; Learning the fundamentals of diplomacy and peace-keeping; Behind-the-scenes visits to the United Nations and country missions; Interactive activities such as public speaking, geography and solving world problems, that provide practice in writing, research, peer collaboration and negotiating; 2 Sessions Available: June 23-27, 2013 and July 15-19, 2013. Held on Mercy Colleges Manhattan and Dobbs Ferry campuses, your students will be exposed to New York Citys exciting cultural world and develop their networking and professional skills. Current juniors who have attained an overall 90 or above grade point average interested in this exciting hands-on opportunity are invited to apply at www.mercy.edu/isp by April 1.
