Hollow Man:

When the opening of Hollow Man begins, creepy music immediately begins to play; this helps to set a mood of shock and horror that lasts throughout the entirety of the film. Scattered letters floating around the screen form into the names of the people who star in the film, this represents the sense of confusion that is displayed during the film whilst the remaining scattered letters help to emphasise this effect. Floating chromosomes shown during the title sequence suggests some sort of science experiment that has gone horribly wrong and creates a deep set fear in the audience as it represents a more modern horror than the traditional horrors that are all about supernatural monsters. An editing effect of making it fade into grey towards the end of the opening creates an eerie effect that impacts on the audience. It then flashes to a scene where everything is swirling which exaggerates the sense of confusion that is created within the audience.
