English 11 Final Persuasive Essay/Persuasive speech For the final in English 11 you will have a choice of choosing to write

a 3 page persuasive essay or a one page persuasive speech that is presented the day of the final. This will require knowledge from the entire semester. You will be arguing a topic from the three dichotomies we learned in the beginning of the trimester. Use will use Ethos, Pathos and Logos in your essay/speech to prove your point and persuade the reader. Step 1: Circle one 3-page essay Step 2: Circle one Nature vs. Culture Society vs. Individual Public vs. Private 1-page speech

Step 3: Brainstorm one of the following topics. Nature vs. Culture Should nature be controlled, or should it be left free and uncivilized. Society vs. Individual From where dies political power lie? In a democracy does the government work for the people? Public vs. Private What are public spaces and what are private spaces? What has the right to be owned, and what has the right to be private? Brainstorm your chosen dichotomy.

The Writing Your essay will be more than 5 paragraphs, and your speech will be 5 paragraphs. All writing will be 12-point font, Times New Roman. You evidence will be supported by the given articles and research from the Internet as needed.
