I choose Verdana as my typeface. Verdana is a humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Matthew Carter for Microsoft Corporation, with hand-hinting done by Thomas Rickner, then at Monotype. Demand for such a typeface was recognized by Virginia Howlett of Microsoft's typography group. The name "Verdana" is based on a portmanteau of verdant (something green), and Ana (the name of Howlett's eldest daughter). I use Verdana for the Olympics sports because I think should not only be competitive but also should be enjoyable and attractive, so the typeface verdana has a tender appearance to me and I feel enjoyable when I use it. Beside the enjoyable aspect of the Olympic game, it also represents the solemn attitude toward the Olympic games, so I think it is the best font to balance the both aspect of the Olympic games.
