SYNOPSIS TITLE OF THE PROJECT:

An analysis of microfinance institutions in Chhattisgarh .

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:

To study the function of microfinance institutions. To study the distribution of rural households. To understand the social aspects of microfinance. To analyze the marketing of microfinance products.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT:

This study helps us to understand the provision of financial services such as credit, savings, and insurance to low income individuals which fall just above the nationally defined poverty line, and poor individuals which fall below that poverty line, with the goal of creating social value. This project is helpful to know about the activities carried out in microfinance such as Micro-credit, Micro savings, Micro insurance, Remittances.

DATA SOURCE AND METHODOLOGY: PRIMARY DATA- questionnaire and personal interactions. SECONDARY DATA- news papers, magazines and internet. CHAPTER PLANS: Chapter I Introduction of microfinance institutions. Chapter II Structure of microfinance institutions. Chapter III- Microfinance in Chhattisgarh. Chapter IV- Recent issues/ problems of microfinance. Chapter V Conclusion / suggestion.
