INTRODUCTION
A Proposal is systematic, factual and persuasive description of a course of action or set of recommendations or suggestions that persuade the audience to agree to writers view or accept his/her other suggestions.

CHARACTERISTICS
It is persuasive communication. It is written for a specific audience to meet a specific need. It is biased for a particular course of action. The objective of proposal is to persuade the reader to accept the proposed course of action.

STEPS IN WRITING PROPOSAL


STEP ONE : Prewriting
1. What is the purpose of proposal? 2. Who is the audience and what are their needs and motivation? 3. How can you catch the readers attention? 4. What results or outcomes would the reader like to have? 5. What background research is needed in writing the proposal?

STEP THREE : Revising

Check and recheck all facts about the clients situation. Ensure that tone of the proposal is optimistic. Assure the reader that you have appraised the problem realistically. Proofread it carefully to ensure that the written contents are free from grammatreal and spelling errors.
