Learning our first note.

C
The Piano keyboard is made up of a series of patterns.the child should be able to look at the keyboard and recognize that there are two black keysthen a spacethen three black keysthen a spacethen two black keysand so forth. This will help them learn the keys on the keyboard easier. It would be ideal to do the sections of this worksheet at least over 3 daysto help reiterate the note. (Wednesday #1, Thursday #2, Friday #3or something similar).

C is found right before the first of two black keysas displayed below:

1. Mark (put a C, color in the key, etc.) the Cs on the keyboard below. After completed: If you are practicing with a piano or keyboard, sit down in front of the keys and find C. How many Cs were there? _____

2. Using number 1 to represent C, number the Keyboard(C=1,D=2,E=3, etc.) (There should be 4 1s when completed). After completed: If you are practicing with a piano or keyboard, sit down in front of the keys and find C. Play all of the Cs with the right hand (index finger). Then play all of the Cs with your left (index finger).

3. Label the Cs looking at the keyboard- which C has a high tone (all the way to the right)which C has a low tone (all the way to the left)which Cs are likely the middle tones?
