INTRODUCTION

1.1 GENERAL INTRODUCTION Promotional activities have become the order of the day as more and more companies head towards fragmented markets, differentiation has overcome imperative to sustain growth and to obtain the required states as the state (J&K) is heading towards normalcy. The cement industry has a number of leading players in the state who are carrying for a considerable market share. Promotions at the dealer level have become necessary where the consumers have selected their brands of choice.

PROCESS OF PRODUCTION:

7.4 Conclusion: The company produces the quality cement OPC (ordinary Portland Cement) in the grade 43 under the Jehlum Brand to meet growing needs of the customers although the companys cement is best in quality and meet the requirements of Bureau of Indian Standards (B.I.S). Based on analysis and discusions made in the study, the overall performance of the company in the recent years is very satisfactory. Compared to its past records it has a good control over the market and has been able to utilize the opportunities and its strengths to topmost level. It has achieved a new milestone by conserving the energy at all levels. The company is achieving incrase in cement production every year. With the establishment of the second unit the company is going to achieve more production and a fittest competitor in the market. Environmental improvement has been a continuing mission with Jammu & Kashmir Cement, with the respect to the operational and the technological aspects, apart from material conservation and ecological balance.
