bulletin, the time is 7am and the headlines this morning are... Police injured in a hit and run incident (sound bucket) A local man has been recognised for his involvement in the Olympics (Sound bucket) And Oldham Athletic fans remain loyal after their cup run. (Sound Bucket) [28 seconds] Two greater Manchester police officers have been injured in a hit and run incident in Harpurhey. Both are in a stable condition in hospital after both received multiple injuries. [14 seconds] To men have been arrested in Haslingden on suspicion of attempted murder. We sent our crime correspondent Holly Jackson to speak to PC Neil England about safety in the police force. [10 seconds] Crime Correspondent: I spoke to PC Neil England about the dangers of policing the streets. [Interview] Our Crime Correspondent____________: Do you feel like police road safety have been affected by the recent events of the two officers being injured in the line of duty? [More interview- Total interview approx 40 seconds] Presenter: In other news, Oldhams Jeremy Broadbent has been nominated for the pride of Oldham award after his work during the Olympics. He was part of the One Future Olympic Legacy project which aimed for Oldhams residents to provide a legacy in order to build a better future for our citizens. [19 seconds] Our reporter _______ talked to Jeremy Broadbent about his feelings on being nominated for this award. Reporter: I asked Jeremy about his involvement in Oldhams Olympic legacy and about his nomination. [Interview: Approx 30 seconds]

[Vox pops] Presenter: In sport, Oldham lost in their match at Goodison Park against Everton 3-1 bringing an end to their great FA winning spree. Their fans, however, are still high in spirits and this was shown with their loud chanting at subsequent games. We asked latics fans their opinion on the great achievement of their local team.
