A Documentary About what EDM Means to Music Culture and why it is so Popular.

1 Scene 1:

The screen fades in with an introduction to the documentary. There is a gentle EDM song playing subtly with some footage of EDM festivals and pictures relative to the intro. The introduction will be followed directly by a title. As the title leaves the screen, footage of people from different nationalities from the Tomorrowland music festival will be shown to emphasize how the EDM craze in America is universal and that the culture is extremely widespread.

Scene 2: Following the lift off of my documentary I will go on to describe what EDM is and its relevance. I will also speak of its importance in the music scene today and mention Skrillex. Before the scene ends, I will state my resources that I would refer to in the film. I will show a couple of the popular sources I referred to In the documentary and end the scene with some footage.

Scene 3: DJ Daniels Jack will appear for the first time and he will discuss the rise of EDM and his thoughts of the revolution. A few pictures will accompany his interview that pertain to what he speaks of.

Scene 4: Between some footage, some brief excerpts of Daniels Jacks interview and a voiceover spoken by myself. The prevalence of EDM in the commercial industry of music and how it reached that level through media and technology will be presented.

Scene 5: This will be the 8newsnow piece.

Scene 6: In this scene I will show how EDM appeared in the festival scene that we see today and I will see why EDM and the hype around it is so important in the music industry. I will discuss both how EDM is so important to so many people and also why it is so important, what effects it has on these fans.

Scene 7: In the final scene I will speak a bit about drugs in the scene and the effects and mystic attributes the EDM scene has and why festivals take on such extreme production

outside of just the music. At this point I will come in and speak from personal experience. I will also try to present some experience through my own words and an interview of an EDM fan. I will end the scene with the two opinions on the rise of EDM and then credits will run. After credits run a very important quote will show =, one which is impactful concerning the topic of EDM and the scene. It is from the Rolling Stone magazine. Many editing changes where made in the revision process.
