Dear Sir/Madam I am a student at the University of New England studying for my Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning degree.

This degree is accredited with the Planning Institute of Australia. The degree programme requires that I complete twelve (12) weeks of practical work experience directly related to urban and regional planning. The practical experience component of the degree is essential for the completion of course requirements and also offers work placement providers a unique opportunity to benefit from the current crop of students studying and interested in the planning profession. I am very interested in the work that your organisation performs and would like to enquire into the possibility of obtaining a work placement with your organisation. I include my contact details with this letter and when it is convenient would appreciate if the relevant person in your organisation could get in contact so that I may discuss this proposal further. Students in work experience placements are covered by insurance and an insurance certificate and confirmation of protection letter are provided for all work placements. Work placement providers are requested to detail the quantity and quality of work that students perform and a form is also made available for this purpose. If I am successful in obtaining a placement in your organisation I will notify the Division and all necessary paperwork will be forwarded. If you would like further information about the practical work experience component of the degree or have any questions please contact Tania Marshall, the Work Placement Liaison Officer for the Urban and Regional Planning Awards on 02 6773 2776 or email tmarshal@une.edu.au. I look forward to hearing from your organisation shortly. Yours faithfully,
