Types of Learning Disabilities ADD/ADHD: difficulties of inattention or hyperactivity and impulsiveness Dyslexia: impairs a person's fluency or comprehension accuracy in being able to read Learning Disability: a broad term that often represents a child who has a high potential for learning, but whose actual achievements do not reflect their potential.

* We do not diagnose specific learning disabilities. In addition, it is important to note that while we treat many of the symptoms that frequently accompany these disorders; we are not going to cure the diagnosis.

Age of Diagnosis Children are often diagnosed with learning disabilities once they enter school. A child attending a highly structured Pre-K may be diagnosed as early as four, whereas some may not be diagnosed until middle or high school.
