I have lived in Las Vegas my entire life and have gone to school in the Clark County School District. Having experience in all grade levels has helped me to decide where I have the most passion for teaching. My ideal teaching position would be having my own classroom at the primary elementary level. Ideally it would be teaching kindergarten or first grade. Having experience in many grade levels, I have found that I am most fond of the lower grade levels. I have a creative and artsy side that benefits the younger grades. The best part of teaching is seeing them grow, and watching the progress being made by each student. I would love to be able to be in a CCSD classroom to see each student strive and succeed. Over the last three years, working as a substitute, I have really been able to find my style and creativity while teaching. Creativity, passion, and drive are three things that are most important in teaching and I have all three and more. As a substitute I spent 3 years at a Professional Development school. I was involved in many professional developments. Some being: Easy Grade Pro, Discovery Assessment, AIMSweb, and First Class. I opened many of my own classes ranging from kindergarten to third grade. I also spent multiple months filling in for a various amount of teachers on leave. I am very comfortable in the classroom and around colleagues. Much of my time was spent collaborating with grade levels, being involved in staff meetings, and even organizing various meetings. I appreciate your consideration and am excited to find the home of my new classroom! I look forward to meeting with you and speaking in person.
