IMITATION AS A POSITIVE

REINFORCEMENT
By: Cecy Gomez Blanco 7th Tetramestrer

IMITATION

It is an advanced behavior in which an individual observes and replicates another's. Imitation is also a form of social learning that leads to the "development of traditions, and ultimately our culture. It allows for the transfer of information (behaviors, customs, etc.) REINFORCEMENT:

is only said to have occurred if the delivery of the stimulus is directly caused by the response made. reinforcer is a temporally contiguous environmental event, or an effect directly produced by a response

IMITATION ON :P
Children tend to imitate new tings they discover can be useful for them, this behavior is most of time Unconsciously applied. imitation as a component of learning in social situations has been developed by the social learning theorists. (Albert Bandura)

As anybody can imitate a specific behavior, they can also IMITATE sounds in order to practice the pronunciation of a language http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTv7s5H6s1M

REINFORCEMENT

a psychology term that refers to the way behaviors increase or decrease according to whether people associate it with a positive experience (a "reward") or a negative experience (a "punishment"). EXAMPLES ;) After you execute a turn during a skiing lesson, your instructor shouts out, "Great job!" At work, you exceed this month's sales quota so your boss gives you a bonus.

CONCLUSION:

As we saw -or realized as well- human beings learn by IMITATION, (seeing others behavior) in order to successfully LEARN, If happens so, theyll adopt that behavior and keep in mind the correct way they have to do certain kind of things.
