Introduction Paragraph

After completing this poetry anthology packet I thought Wow, poetry is more than fun and games, it has heart Sure there are plenty of laugh poems, but what about the serious ones.What about the ones that toy with your emotions like a yo-yo. After my first poem which was a cinquain poem, it is so much more than just a silly laugh out loud poem you have to put a lot of thought into it. My favorite poem I made was called Dishes oh Dishes it was a Pessimistic poem. It was a lot of fun to create a poem and have your you're friend read it and laugh at your jokes. My favorite kind of poem to write is called a creature alliteration. You create a creature alliteration by a real thing and add ian to the end of the creature so like seal would be sealian you also put what it eats, where it lives,and what it likes to do.

Purple Color Poem

Purple is the color of ripe plums.

Purple is a bird on a tree pecking for a worm. Purple is the feeling I get when im pumped for something. Purple is the smooth color of a grape. Purple smells like a liter of grape soda. Purple tastes like sweet with sour at the end. Purple sounds like fun and excitement. Purple looks like a pretty awesome t-shirt. Purple feels like the expression on my face when I win something. Purple makes me excited for vacation. Purple is my favorite color.

Dishes Oh Dishes Pessimistic

Dishes oh dishes!

I hate you! You reek! I wish you would be bullied by three nerdy geeks if only a monster would tear you to shreads dishes of dishes I would like to be dead. Id rather sleep in a cave with a hungry bear or get trapped in a room with only a pear alone in a forest hug one million cacti than clean all the dishes.

My Friend Rick Rhyming My friend Rick told me he could stick to a large wall so he ran and jumped but tripped on a ball. His brother Blake Grabbed a rake saved Rick from a very large brick.

Snakeians Creature Alliteration Snakieans live in special, summer suburbans on the southern states. Snakeians surprisingly eat star fruit, and soup with several slices of seared sunchips. Snakeians like supreme spirals of salty seas. Snakeians have slippery spikes and shadowy strands of hair. Snakeians stranded me on a slippery slope with wild seals.

Jealousy Five Senses Jealousy is red. It tastes like a hot tamale. It sounds like bickering over kids who said I want that instead. It smells like spicy chilli sauce. It looks like a kid ignoring a friend who has something better. It makes me feel foolish.

Store Limerick I know a good shop called the super duper store. It has food and toys galore. It has chips and milk fruit and silk. Quick come open the door.

Favorite Poem Paragraph Bleezers Ice Cream I chose Bleezers Ice Cream because it is funny and wacky. This poem is about Bleezers Ice Cream Store and all of the disgusting ice cream flavors. This poem has 3 stanzas. The rhyme scheme is every other line. The words Bleezers Ice Cream Store is used in the beginning and end. There is alliteration on lines 15 16 20 23 and 24. There are no similes. The mood or tone of this poem is funny and wacky because they have such weird flavors. This poem makes me feel crazy!

I Too By: Langston Hughes I too sing America I am the darker brother. They send me to eat in the kitchen when company comes, nobodyll dare say to me Eat in the kitchen Then Besides Theyll see how beautiful I am and be ashamedI too am America.

Favorite Poem Paragraph I Too

I chose I Too because it is a very emotional poem. The poem is about the darker brother thinking about freedom. There are five stanzas in this poem. There is no rhyming but it does have a way with words. The words I Too is repeated in the beginning and end.
