Downtown Tallahassee Business Association & Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority to Host the Second Saturday in the Park Jazz Concert in its 2013 Series
Richie Summa and Leon Anderson, Jr. to Perform this Saturday Tallahassee, Fla. The Downtown Tallahassee Business Association (DTBA) and the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority (TDIA) will host its second jazz concert in its 2013 Saturday in the Park Concert Series on Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. EDT in Ponce de Leon Park, Tallahassee. Performing this week will be Richie Summa and Leon Anderson, Jr. The Saturday in the Park Concert Series is free and open to the public. Richie Summa hails his guitar studies with Sal Salvador, one of the jazz greats. Over the course of his career, Summa backed such entertainers as Engelbert Humperdinck, Julie Andrews, The Fifth Dimension and more. Leon Anderson, Jr. is the director of Jazz Studies at Florida State University and his musical experience includes that of a classical and jazz percussionist, educator, clinician and composer. Musical recordings include Summas Tear It Down, along with others, and collaborations with David Sanchez, Mike Wolf, Judy Collins, Jason Marsalis and more.
