Reefer Container Maintenance and Troubleshooting (RCMT)

Aim
The course aims to upgrade the competence of the trainees with adequate knowledge and skills in the maintenance and troubleshooting of reefer containers loaded onboard vessels.

Scope
This course covers maintenance and repair procedures for the reefer containers loaded onboard ships namely : conducting pre-trip inspections, check of alarms, function codes, data codes, leak checks, refrigerant charging; pump down procedure and refrigerant recovery.

Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be better able to demonstrate maintenance, repair and troubleshooting skills for reefer containers.

Entry Standards
Marine Engineers, Electricians, Electro-Technical Officers and prospective engine officers. PRE-REQUISITE : Reefer Container Handling Familiarization Training (RCHFT).
