We appreciate you considering serving at Camp Christigan. The counselors and support staff are the key to a successful and blessed week of camp. The responsibility of the staff is double-edged. It involves his/her relationship with God and his/her ministry to the camper. Our ministry to the individual camper flows out of our growing relationship with the Lord. It is important to remember that we as adults need to lead by example. This involves your complete compliance to all Camp Christigan rules and regulations, and working in harmony with the camp directors and with one another. Camp directors do all they can to provide a safe and healthy environment for our staff, yet, there are times in which it may be necessary for you to be on call at a moments notice in order to properly minister to all the spiritual and physical needs of each camper. The following is a list of important information and guidelines that will help aid you while considering serving at camp: Applications needs to be submitted no later than June 1, 2013 To ensure proper age separation, applicants for Senior Camp need to be at least three years out of high school. Applicants with less than three years are welcome to apply as Junior Counselors. Please understand that camp can be a very rigorous experience that will be taxing physically, so if you have health issues that are sensitive to extremes in weather conditions, dietary needs or sleep habits these items need to be considered when picking the type of ministry that will best fit your situation when applying and list those specifics on your application. Please understand that the focus of the camp is ministering to the campers. Therefore, we ask that the counselors remember to limit interaction with other counselors to official business and personal break times. We need to be living examples of Christ, caring and sensitive to the needs of all. Gods Word is a very important ingredient in our ministry. Thus, a practical understanding of the Bible is important! For parents desiring to serve at camp with under age children, providing there is enough space available, we will have a Kiddie Camp. Any parent with under age children are required to serve as a Jr. Counselor! The following is a list of requirements, please remember eligibility is contingent on space availability . - Child must be potty trained - Child is to comply with all camp rules and dress codes - Child is to bunk with parent of same gender - Kiddie Camp coordinator will engage your child in an age appropriate lesson or activity. - Child needs to be flexible to the rigorous schedule that is part of the camp experience - It is imperative to remember that the focus of camp is to minister to the campers! If for any reason you feel that the camp environment may be to rigorous for your child or your childs needs will distract from the time and attention needed to minister to campers, please reconsider bringing your child to camp. It is our great desire to draw in qualified counselors and in no way want cause parents to feel unable to participate, however our main goal is to make the biggest impact on campers from ages 4 th grade through 12th grade.

Directions: 1. Please ask your Pastor and one other leader in your church (not a relative) to fill out a copy of the Pastoral Reference Questionnaire (page #6 & 7) and your Staff Application & Evaluation (page # 8 & 9) and have them mail it to the General Director of Camp Christigan. It would be courteous to supply them with an addressed, stamped envelope. 2.
