Jennifer Farinas Professor Golden October 8, 2012 ENC 1101 Health Services Administration: What Is It?

Being a Health Services Administrator is like working backstage in a play. Youre not in the spotlight but youre there to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. Whenever I tell anyone that my major is Health Services Administration, they always scratch their head and ask me What is that? I tell them that its in the health field but Im not going to be a doctor or a nurse or anything big like that. Its everything that the doctors dont need to worry about, like insurance and payroll. But its what I like and what I want to do because I want to be a part of something bigger, much like a stagehand in a play. But to make sure you understand the role of an HSA, I interviewed interim chair for this major, Chanadra Young.
