Section A and B are similar in that they both share a three chord progression. But they are different in that they have different chords and change in pitch and range. 7. Describe the expressive techniques heard by the trombones in the repeat of Section A. The trumpets use the technique of short quick bursts with their mouths and slide the trombone very quickly 8. Look up what is meant by call and response. In which sections do you hear call and response? You can hear Call and response in Section A and B as the flutes and the trumpets are battling together and pausing for one another. Call and Response is when there is a battle type technique going on where one instrument plays for lets say 2 bars and then another instrument plays for the next 2 bars and this happens back and forth until the section is over
