Instructional Objective(s) Criteria: When given numbered apple cutouts, children can successfully count down from ten to one. PKCC 3 4. Assessment(s) of the Objectives: Pre- linking numbered monkeys together, counting forward from one to ten then backward During- allow the children to count down as I read, get volunteers to stand in a row holding large numbered apple cutouts, asking the class to put them in order then count backwards in unison Post- get their very own tree and numbered apple cutouts, identify the numbers, place them in order, then count them backwards before and after gluing the apples on their tree 5. Materials/Resources: construction paper, permanent marker, computer paper, scissors, glue, glitter number stickers, the book Ten Red Apples 6. Prerequisites (Prior Knowledge): The child must know number names and how to count consecutively from one to ten 7. Procedures: introduce and read the book, allow the children to engage in counting and saying the numbers, give instructions on the activity, get volunteers, ask class for help, allow children to count, show an example of the tree they will be making, break off into centers, call children one or two at a time to the table, display the example, give out supplies, let them place numbers in order and count backwards, allow them to place the apples on their tree with glue assistance, count backwards again, release student, call another
