Contra Indication : ~ Without contrast : - Pregnancy. - Claustrophobia. ~ With Contrast : - Pregnancy. - Claustrophobia - Allergies to iodine or contrast agents.

Patient preparation : ~ Without contrast : - Remove all metallic . ~ With Contrast : - Remove all metallic . - Creatinine test. - NPO 4 hours before exam.

Patient Position : Supine . Orientation : Head first . Land Mark : OML orbitomeatal line.

Patient Education : Explain the procedur: - Name of Exam : Brain C.T. - Time : Almost 3 min. - Contrast : feel hot . Radiation Protection:
- Exam interest area only. - Use gonad shield .

Technique
Patient Instruction: Don't move. Scout View: Lateral. Factors: - kVp : 120 - mAs : 50 Area of Coverage: Base of the skull to vertex.

Scanning Mode: Sequential . kVp : 120 mAs : 150 - 400 Slice Thickness : 4.5mm . Axial Imaging : - Start Point : Base of skull . - End Point : vertex .
